Mind fools itself

Almost everyone has heard that correlation is not causation however almost everyone lives life as if the above statement isn’t true.

The thing is mind has certain tendencies. It looks for satisfaction. It tries to find the easiest explanation for a given problem. And believing the simplest pattern is the easiest route for the mind. Hence it dearly holds the belief in many situations without our awareness that correlation is indeed causation. There are many examples of that.
